The Warriors Women’s Lacrosse program supports Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Round Rock, Stony Point, and Westwood High schools. Our team embodies the spirit of determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Grades
What grades do players have to be in, to participate?
Players must be in grades 9-12.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
The Fall season runs from mid September to early-December.
The Spring season runs from early January to mid-April.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Fall Season - Practices will be held at T&C. Games (if any) - TBD
Spring Season - Practices will be held at T&C, Westwood HS and McNeil HS. Games are normally in Austin for the regular season. However, games may be as far as Houston or Dallas in the playoffs.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Fall season - Practices are twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday)
Spring Season - Practices are four times/week (Monday-Thursday)
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Fall season: 1-2 scrimmages with neighboring programs on various days
Spring Season: about 15 games in the Austin area. Regular season games are usually held M-F. Playoff games are usually held on weekends in mid-April.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Game jerseys can be borrowed for the season with a security deposit.
Security Deposits
Security deposits will be collected prior to the Spring season.
Jersey and Jacket - security deposit TBD.
Team backpack - security deposit TBD.
Security deposits will be returned when the items are returned.
Additional Costs
Hotel rooms
Occasionally, the team will have to travel out of town for tournaments or playoff games. Hotel blocks will be reserved for the team but will be paid for by the players' parents/guardians.
Volunteer Hours Commitment
All player families are required to volunteer at least seven hours during the season. There will be plenty of volunteer opportunities in the spring for all home games and events. There are season-long volunteer positions available that will fulfill the seven hour requirement. Volunteer Hours Buyout Option
