Coach Moses is the Head Coach of the Westwood Girls Lacrosse team and has coached at every level from youth to college. Chelsea began playing lacrosse in 5th grade in Central Florida and graduated from Winter Springs High School as a Captain and All-American. She went on to play Division I lacrosse in college at Saint Francis University, and has since been involved in the game as a coach. Prior to moving to Texas, Chelsea was the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Coker University, a NCAA DII program in South Carolina, where she had 15 players earn all-conference accolades under her guidance and she took the young program to the South Atlantic Conference Final Four twice. She has a proven track record of building players and programs from the ground up, and she is excited to bring her knowledge, experience, and passion for the game to Central Texas.
Coach Katie is New England Native who’s played lacrosse since third grade. She was a Captain in High School, lead New Hampshire in assists her Junior and Senior year, and was the New Hampshire Scholar Athlete her Senior year as well.
She competed in the North Atlantic Conference in college and brought the team to two NAC championship games.
Katie coached at Cedar Park High School for two years before transferring to Westwood where she holds the role as the Varsity Assistant Coach.
Head Coach JV
Susie Nearhoof is in her 1st season as the head coach of the JV program at Westwood High School. She is a native of Maryland and has been involved in lacrosse as a player and coach for 13 plus years. Nearhoof attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School where she played Varsity lacrosse for four years holding the captain position her senior year and leading the team in goals and assists.
Continuing her education, Susie was a standout player at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, where she played Attack and Center, specializing in draw controls. She held the captain spot her senior year and led the attack in goals and assists while making LEC 1ST Team and leading the team to the LEC playoffs.
After graduating college, she returned to her alma mater to head coach the JV girls lacrosse team for two seasons while playing with her post collegiate team Annaplax for three years. Upon moving to Texas in 2020, it was important for her to get involved in the lacrosse community and so, she accepted the position as a coach with Westwood High School. As lacrosse continues to evolve, Susie is excited to get more girls interested in the sport in the Central region.
